Spotcap Data Security

We take your privacy and security seriously. Read more on how we ensure your personal and business information is as secure as possible.

What happens to your data?

When you submit your application you will need to upload confidential data. We ask you for your business transaction files, the VAT returns of the last four to five quarters and a screenshot of your business bank account. The data from these files is essential for us to perform an accurate credit analysis. We are aware that these files may contain sensitive and/or confidential information. This is why we treat them with the utmost confidentiality. We will only use your data for our credit analysis and will never pass it on to third parties. In doing so we protect the privacy and security of you and your company.

We protect your information with encryption

Information entered on our website is automatically encrypted, offering protection as it transfers to Spotcap. Encryption converts information from a readable format into a sequence of code that’s almost impossible for anyone to decipher. We use some of the strongest forms of encryption available today.

For peace of mind, during any transaction, look for a closed padlock symbol on your browser, which shows that encryption is being used. Secure websites also start their address with “https://”, with the ‘s’ indicating that it is secure.

We keep our security up-to-date

Our website and other products are regularly reviewed by independent security professionals. The review methodology is in line with best practice as set out by OWASP (Open Web Applications Security Project), a widely recognised body that provides security guidance on web applications to both commercial and government organisations.

Spotcap has also rolled out a bug bounty programme, as another layer to our online security. If you believe you have discovered a vulnerability in our systems, please contact our Security Desk by emailing [email protected].
